The “born wild” movement seeks to turn negative emotions into positive momentum. The idea is to go from the most primitive instincts to the most sophisticated and civilized emotions. Richard Orlinski uses basic shapes and figures such as crocodiles, panthers, skulls, and even the iconic “David” that was sculpted by Michelangelo in the Renaissance. Other shapes include the famous stiletto heel, jeans, cans and images, as well as tributes to artists from the New Realism and Pop Art movements.
